Joe Bonamassa's Song From New Album Titled "STOP!"
Well that was awesome.

For those who don't know, it's a cover of a song by Sam Brown from 1988 which has been a definite favourite for a long, long time... great one to get passionately into when singing along to.

This is a great blues cover with wonderful musicmanship.

Eric Bana - Out Of Bounds: Before you probably knew him
>> ^intertuber:
i don't suppose you have his "ant farmer" sketch? i've been looking for it for ages. so good.

No, can't say I have ever actually seen that. One set of sketches I loved of his was the old guy who would say 'shit' in a hilarious way, but haven't found any

FR, comments like yours are absolutely disgusting:

"stupid ditzy bitch", "that's grounds right there for some throwdown", "she's a stupid ass bitch and I would have paid some girls to beat her fucking ass to a bleeding, pulsating lump on the floor before I handed her her walking papers".

What an utter disgrace to men everywhere you are.

So many issues with this:
a) As stated... how about leaving him if this were the case?
b) My god, how pathetic was the attempt at destruction? Picking it up and dropping it a few times would have done far more damage than those light taps with the golf club.
c) His reaction seemed remarkably calm and not agitated... and who says 'You better hope my warranty covers this?'... and the way that last bit was framed, staged.... it's awfully fake like.

So... problems are: Probably fake, stupid reaction to a situation if real, and terrible attempt at destruction.

Earphones for your Nose, Music for your Mouth
*brief

And... ok, I'd rather not put my earphones in my ears after my nose... or my nose after my ears for that matter, would rather keep the two areas separate... if I had specific nose plugs for this, that'd be ok...

Kirk Cameron is on a Crusade to Debunk Evolution
I really wish someone with the money would do this with the Bible... as mentioned above. I want a copy of the Bible, as it's an important text due to so many people believing it, so many other works based on it, so much of our culture guided by it... so I want a copy (don't have one in my house at present, had a few at my parents, but none at mine)... so I would like a nicely presented copy of the bible... WITH a great introduction that points out issues with it, like Xaielao states... NOT by being mean spirited and spiteful like these douchebags are, but rather, just giving some historic context for the text.

Do the same thing, hand them out on campus, or offer them free in other places, and watch the Religious right go nuts over it.

The beautiful thing is that we have this as precedence now... those who don't believe in creationism allowed this to go ahead, so they must let the other side happen too.

It so saddens me that so many sites posted this as genuine... I mean really... GAH! Critical thinking has died on the internet, it's a sad, sad world.

This is quite funny, that people would ever believe it was real isn't.

(Really, how many tip offs do people need in order to work it out? The lack of any synchronisation between the kids and the on screen things, the lack of any actual appreciable gameplay that kids would want to partake in, the cover that slips over the whole wiimote that stops you actually being able to use the buttons, the mentioning of expansion packs before it's even out (they always wait a while for that), the ridiculous stool add ons that work as something funny, but would never be sold as an accessory... and... well, the 'prayer works interactive'... they don't have a website, they would have if this were real).

*sigh*

Time Traveling Delorean Mod!
That is pure awesomeness

Although, to be a pedantic, geeky prick, it gets frosty inside the car as well as outside the car... which goes against what you see in the films, as it's only the external shell of the car that gets freezing cold during time travel.

But that really is awesome

Tom Cruise's Leaked 'New Moon' Audition
Was brilliant right up until the ad bit at the end... he really overdid the laugh on that. Up until then he had it nailed, but the forcing of the laugh at the end was just weird... and not in a Tom Cruise way either.

Amazing Sign dance! :59sec
Very cool, and also, way more interesting to see on the side of the road than the usual sign holder who wears an ipod and just wiggles the board a bit (as I'm sure they're told they can't be still) while looking like they'd rather be dead

Pixar's Hidden Secrets - Easter eggs in their films
^ Um... I didn't need to do any 'research' as it was all obvious from the get go:
1. The design of Wall-E was not even started let alone anything like what he looks like in the movie at the time Toy Story came out. And seeing as they said that the meeting happened AFTER the first Toy Story had come out they hadn't even DISCUSSED the concept of Wall-E at the time that movie came out... so that's pretty much blown it from the first fake 'easter egg' right there.
2. Every one of their fake ones was a 'wait, that was too hard to see, let's go back and watch that again in slow motion.' If you'll notice, Pixar don't really do that for their easter eggs, they put them in plain (if somewhat easy to miss most of the time) sight.
3. They just look pasted in. (Admittedly this is the sort of thing any 'FAKE' caller can say with nothing to back it up)
4. Pixar don't put in things that don't belong in the world they've been put in... hence a Wall-E wandering around in a present day world of Cars isn't something they'd do... they may make Wall-E a balloon or a toy or something, but not a robot in a Nascar pit.

All of which struck me as I watched it the first time, all of which are pretty obvious if you think about it (especially the first one).

I jumped on as an attack on the general acceptance of almost anything on the web displayed by so many. It's so easy to dupe people, and that makes me sad for critical thinking.

Pixar's Hidden Secrets - Easter eggs in their films
>> ^kronosposeidon:
@GDGD and Hybrid:

Oh well, I figured since the easter at beginning were real that the last few would also be real. Lies accepted.

And that is a pretty piss poor method of ascertaining truth in anything. A real lack of critical thinking there.

Shiny Suds are Naughty
The point is that product makers should label what's in their cleaners so you can chose to not to use ones with certain chemicals in them.

Pixar's Hidden Secrets - Easter eggs in their films
*lies, and pretty lame ones at that.

Sorry, I do like the easter eggs that Pixar put into movies, but these were pretty poorly done.

This MAY have been funny if they slowly ramped up how obvious and ridiculous the 'easter eggs' were, but as it stands, it's just pretty crap

TDS: Jon Stewart explains why he doesnt like Sarah Palin
^ Um boilerplate messages are a problem because... um... they're boilerplate. Both sides do it, and it's a terrible scourge on politics. How about, rather than having a set of boilerplate messages that have been memorized (as Palin VERY obviously did during the campaign) and just try to insert them in whenever you possibly can in an interview no matter how off topic they may be... how about... um... THINKING and actually giving an insightful answer based on actually UNDERSTANDING the issues.

Oh, and don't go spouting shit like "High taxes are bad. Bigger government is bad." as if it's fact. IT AIN'T.

YOU and the conservative right think it is because it means more money for the rich, more money for those that already have it.

MANY others, including many, many in other countries where higher taxes and larger governments seem to be working a shit tonne better than your screwed up country, think that it might actually be a good idea. Have a large public sector employing people doing things that are in the public benefit (so you get double win of more jobs existing, and more public works being done), have services that help and support all.

I state "I think that a government that provides basic services like education, health care and financial support for ALL that need it is a Good thing." I don't state that as fact, I state that as what I think, and your statement is what YOU think, it's not some friggen fact. THAT'S the right wing dipshit mindset of being so set in your ways that you think you're unassailably right, and won't even consider why you think you're right or why the opposing viewpoint might be.

Palin is no good for any political position because she is driven HARD by fundamentalist religion, lack of clear thought and an insight into issues that barely skims across them. She do so much harm to your country if you let her, she really would.
